I hope the people of Laoag won't hate me for saying that there's nothing to see in Laoag!!!

Aside from taking pictures of the Sinking Bell Tower ...
and visiting St. William Parish, we didn't do anything in Laoag really.
We mostly utilized Laoag as our jump-off point for activities such as sand boarding at La Paz Sand Dunes. We were picked up by our guide Glenn at McDonald's Laoag in this green open air vehicle.
After driving for about 15 minuutes, we arrived at the La Paz Sand Dunes.
We then transferred to a 4x4 truck to drive around the sand dunes. We explored the vast area for more than 30 minutes standing up at the back of the vehicle.
Prepare to be shaken and expect to come out of the experience a little bruised because the ride is very bumpy.
After the tour, it was sand boarding time!!!
The view from high up was intimidating but it was not as scary as it looked.

And the crazy ones can slide down the slope standing up:
The experience at La Paz Sand Dunes turned out to be one of my favorite memories of the trip and everyone who visits Ilocos should not miss out.
My only regret was not being able to rent an ATV. Looks like a ton of fun!
