Hot Bridal Shower at Astoria Plaza

It has been a week since the wedding of my dearest friend Pristine to Kendric.

Time flies as it feels like it was only yesterday that we threw a bridal shower for her!

Pristine's shower was held at Astoria Plaza, a popular venue for celebrations due to its spacious rooms and facilities that are conducive for partying.

A 2 bedroom suite was booked for the occasion and we knew going in that we had to decorate the space because the suite, though modern in design, looks very bare.

Common Areas

Desk

Dining Area

Space Opposite the Dining Table

Kitchen

Living Room

TV Corner

Bedrooms

Room 1

 Bathroom in 1st Room

Shower Area

Room 2

2nd Bathroom

The theme of the shower was Some Like It Hot and my bright idea was to simply paint the room red. Here was the attempt with the help of friends:

Space Leading to the Living Room
Unfortunately, the balloons were too small to create much impact but it at least created a semblance of red. LOL

Wall Art
We spruced up the full length mirror with wall stickers which Teej, the sticker master, carefully laid out.

Even the table didn't escape our artistic inclinations!

Just for Laughs
Instead of cake, we decided to order cupcakes. Nobody wanted to eat it though because of the naughty bits.

This space turned out to be the perfect area to put the gifts.

Good thing we were able to find pre-cut materials to hang from the ceiling as it SOMEHOW helped bring life to the room.

Though the room looked more like a lover's rendezvous waiting to happen, I was happy with how the space turned out as it set the mood for the rest of the evening.

HOT it surely was!

Dear Kind Reader(s),

When my friend and I started a food blog exactly a year ago, little did I know that the blog will further ignite my already unwavering passion for food.

It spelled trouble as I have yet to see a food blogger who didn’t grow a double chin while in the line of duty.

Armed with this frightening observation, I decided to take a break from blogging.

I took a moment to reflect but quickly realized that there’s no point fighting a losing battle.

I can’t deny the glutton in me!

And so begins another attempt at maintaining a blog.

With this new blog Glutton Anonymous however, I am determined to unleash my voracious appetite only when necessary. I plan to be a light eater on regular days and only feast during special occasions.

Treat this blog as a diary of a recovering food addict. Join me in my journey as I try to find the balance between uninspired and decadent eating.

It is my hope that with this new perspective, I’ll be able to share more of the good things life has to offer, aside from food.

P.S. I included the archive of the old blog here in Glutton Anonymous so that we can all reminisce about the time in my life when being a glutton was my full time job.
